See God’s Perspective

Our perspective on a situation changes everything. Let’s say you’re looking straight ahead and there’s a high wall with no openings. You know you need to get to the other side of the wall to survive, but you see no way to scale the smooth surface. Your immediate response would be despair and hopelessness.

But what if you saw the situation from God’s perspective? You would zoom out and see the rescue team hard at work to figure out how to get to you. You would view the helicopter flying to your aid that would soon be whirring above your head. You would see the people on the other side of the wall waiting for you with open arms.

God is always at work directing, leading, guiding, rescuing, protecting, and providing for you.

And as one of my friends recently said, “When it seems like all hope is lost, something amazing is about to happen.”

When we see things from God’s perspective, there is always a reason for hope.

Ask God: Please show me how you see this situation and fill me with your hope.

“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him securely on high, because he has known my name.
He will call upon me, and i will answer him;
i will be with him in trouble;
i will rescue him and honor him. with a long life i will satisfy him
and let him see my salvation.” – Psalm 91:14-16 (NASB)

I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the lord
in the land of the living.
wait for the lord;
be strong and let your heart take courage;
yes, wait for the lord. – Psalm 27:13-14 (NASB)
